L’origine du village remonte au XI e siècle, comme l’attestent la présence de l’église et un document de 1025 citant le nom du bourg.
Un membre de la famille d’Anisy accompagne Guillaume le Conquérant en 1066. En effet, Robert Wace mentionne dans le Roman de Rou, au XIIe siècle, la jeunesse d’Anisy. Jean, du même nom, accompagne Robert Courteheuse à la croisade de 1096 et un Tomas, issu de la même famille, figure dans les rôles d’imposition britanniques de 1216 à 1222.
Dès 1468, le fief n’appartient plus aux Anisy et dix seigneurs s’y succèdent en deux siècles. En 1636, le village compte environ 160 habitants qui s’elevent à 450 ou 500 à la fin du XVIIe siècle.
Dans la première moitié du XIXe siècle, les chantiers des villes de Rouen, du Havre et de Paris attirent en masse les ouvriers anisiens du bâtiment, du printemps à la fin de l’année. La croissance démographique se maintient jusqu’en 1836, date à laquelle s’amorce un déclin qui se prolonge jusqu’en 1930. A la fin du XXe siècle, la commune connait le phénomène de rurbanisation et de nombreux lotissements sont construits.

A member of Anisy’s family accompanied William the Conqueror in 1066. Indeed, Robert Wace mentions in the Novel de Rou, in the 12th century, the youth of Anisy. Population growth continued until 1836, when a decline began until 1930. At the end of the 20th century, the town experienced the phenomenon of urbanization and many housing estates were built.
